My professional journey has progressed from modern apprentice in 2012, through technician and senior analytical technician to lab manager. And in 2021 I was appointed as the University's Technician Commitment Coordinator. Currently, I balance both roles, contributing to the University's commitment to technical excellence.

After earning my PhD, I advanced to Research Fellow, achieving Grade 8 on today’s scale, and latterly was ultimately promoted to senior lecturer and professor. I have worked at the University of Glasgow all of my adult life and still love working in such a diverse environment with super bright people. Looking back, my highlights are all the jobs I have done although moving to People and Organisational Development was a revelation (in a good way!!).
