This project builds on previous collaborations and pilot initiatives (e.g., Multilingualism through Art) that have introduced arts-based activities into language learning in different contexts across Scotland. The project will start in May 2025, and it will focus on the critical role of multilingualism in shaping human-environment ecologies. We will collaborate with different groups of participants and co-researchers, including children, artists, teachers, researchers and educators. We aim to develop new creative learning approaches, resources and professional development opportunities for teachers and young learners so they are equipped to fully engage in their communities.

5. Presentation of work at international and national conferences, at internal and external seminars, colloquia, and workshops to develop and enhance our research profile.
6. Take a leading role in the identification of potential dissemination and impact sources and to assist in the development of proposals to secure funding from internal and external bodies to support future research.
7. Take a leading role in developing and maintaining collaborations with colleagues across the project research group and the wider community (e.g. academic and school partners).
8. Take a leading role in team meetings/seminars/workshops to enhance the wider knowledge, outputs, and culture of the research group and the School of Education.
9. Take the lead in the organisation, supervision, mentoring and training of undergraduate and/or postgraduate students and less experienced members of the project team to ensure their effective development.
10. Keep up to date with current knowledge and recent advances in the field/discipline.
11. Engage in personal, professional and career development, to enhance both specialist and transferable skills in accordance with desired career trajectory.
