Job description
Job Purpose
Effective project management, project delivery and project implementation for all UofG Sport technology and digital projects. Leading delivery of IT enabled business services, building reporting from the different systems within the service and interpreting business needs through thorough data analysis using Power BI, leisure management system, MSL, excel and other data systems.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
1. Lead on the digital development and maintenance of the Leisure Management System (LMS) to include online bookings, mobile app, kiosks and any other relevant products that will enhance the Service.
2. Develop and maintain reporting suites for all areas of UofG Sport, ensuring integration with the LMS and other systems for Sports leadership team on all aspects of the business using Power BI through the integration with the leisure system. This includes analysis of data, highlighting opportunities and recognising issues.
3. Manage the UofG Sport app and ensure integration with other UofG digital systems.
4. Develop and maintain a customer relationship manager system to enhance retention of members.
5. Maximise and develop the use of UofG Sport’s digital signage system (Digital screens and OneLan), ensuring content is updated and engaging. Work in partnership with other University Services to share content across campus.
6. Maintain and develop the UofG sport website using the University Content Management System (t4). Work with the Marketing & Membership Manager to ensure the information contained on these pages is engaging, accurate, easily accessible, fit for purpose and links with the LMS.
7. Develop the technology services provided through exercise equipment to build customer journeys to provide an outstanding user experience.
8. Regularly conduct Usability Testing (UX) of the UofG Sport website, review analytics data to produce informative reports to guide future developments and ensure our website is meeting objectives.
9. Support the Marketing & Membership Manager with the development of a range of social media platforms and their integration with other systems.
10. Working with the Marketing and Membership Manager develop the UofG Sport Digital Strategy communicating internally and externally, identifying new opportunities to promote our services, drive sales and retention .
11. Provide training to staff on key systems that add value to their role and the service (e.g. Gladstone, Technogym app, UofG Sport app, social platforms).
12. Create links, networking and co-ordinating activities with colleagues across the University to ensure systems are robust, maximise functionality and to explore partnership opportunities (e.g. IT services, recruitment, external relations and Information Services ).
13. Provide information to existing and prospective customers on the services provided by UofG Sport in a positive and professional manner.
14. Responsibility for the management of contract with third party technology suppliers (e.g. Onelan, Mediascape, BTSport) and ensure compliance with University procedures, regulations and legislation.
Knowledge, Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Knowledge/ Qualifications
Essential:
A1 Ability to demonstrate the competencies required to undertake the duties associated with this level of post having acquired the necessary knowledge and skills through personal development and progression in a similar role(s). OR Scottish Credit and Qualification Framework level 7 (Advanced Higher / Scottish Vocational Qualification level 3, Higher National Certificate) or equivalent, and experience of personal development in a similar role.
A2 Knowledge of HTML, CSS and writing code for web forms.
A3 Detailed practical knowledge of MacOS and Windows.
A4 Knowledge of best practice in website design, search engine optimisation techniques and good understanding of emerging digital trends.
Desirable:
B1 Current project management certification, Prince 2 practitioner or equivalent.
B2 Knowledge of the t4 content management system or equivalent.
B3 Knowledge of bookings and information systems digital and IT development or equivalent.
B4 Data analysis qualifications.

C1 High level of IT skills – experience of using standard desktop applications and the capability of further developing IT skills to use specialised software applications.

E1 Experience of developing and integrating systems to improve processes and experience of working with a variety of digital platforms.

E4 Experience of working effectively with multi-disciplinary teams and of managing suppliers and third-party stakeholders.

Desirable:
F1 Experience of working with a Leisure Management System or equivalent bookings and information systems.
F2 Power BI experience building reporting suites.
F3 Previous experience of working in a busy customer facing environment.
F4 Broad understanding of the student lifecycle and the policies, systems processes and required information needs at each point.
F5 Experience with small and medium scale projects.
F6 Experience using Adobe CC packages.
Additional information
The post holder may be required to work on Public Holidays and time will be added back on to the holiday entitlement.
Terms and Conditions
Salary will be Grade 5, £26,038 - £30,505 per annum.
